playground chants

Remember when you were a little girl and sang songs or chants on the playground with your girlfriends? I vaguely remember the lyrics, but definitely remember singing and having coordinated hand jives. Today, the chants go something like this:

Brick wall, waterfall, girl you think you got it all, but you don't, cause I do so BOOM with that attitude. BANG BANG, choo choo train wind me up, I'll do my thang. Reeses pieces, 7-Up, you mess with me I'll mess you up.

One thing I know for sure, the chants I sang didn't have this kind of attitude. I was one square kid...

I don't remember. I didn't have friends. What I do remember was standing a few feet away, scowling at the girls who did the hand jives.

No wonder I didn't have friends. ;)

Dahahaha! That's awesome and scary at the same time. We did hand jive stuff like, "Grandma, grandma. Sick in bed. Called the doctor and the doctor said, let's hear the rhymthm in the head. DING DONG."

I have a 6 year old in Kindergarden and she has been singing this chat since the third week of school. Just this weekend she comes home with another one that has one line in it "5,6,7,8 let me see that booty shake". I am appaled.
