tallulah

Tallulah Tucker is the newest Apple addition in our household. And, oh boy is she lovely! Similar to Tater, we picked-up my new iPhone from the South Coast Plaza store, however we waited in line on Saturday for over 3 hours. We definitely didn't expect to wait in line, but we were happy to do so. My Razr died {or I may have thrown it and broke it in half out of technology frustration one day when the LCD screen decided to stop working for the 9,458 time} and I've been using one of Rob's old phones, so I was in need of a new one. I brought along a book, thankfully, and Rob had his iPhone {he now calls it OG, for original as opposed to 3G}.

The first sign of my entering into a truly nerdy morning was when we were walking to the Apple store and Rob busted out his newest geeky iPhone application, the lightsaber. No freakin' joke! He loved it and was so excited to show it off. I almost turned around and walked back to our car. I wanted nothing to do with a device that would have an application as super-geeky as that. But then I remembered that I don't have to be that geeky with my beloved device.

The waiting in line time actually flew by! Initially, we shared the duty of standing in line while the other sat on a bench, then Rob made friends with the people in front of us and they totally started geeking out and talking about the specs of the new iPhone, which was my cue to roam the mall a bit. Rob was definitely redeemed when the wife of one of the guys in line mentioned her husband playing with his new iPhone lightsaber. I spent a fair amount of time at Paper-Source and H&M - my two favorite stores at South Coast. Like Tater's experience, the Apple folks offered coffee and water, but unfortunately Ruby's didn't offer any milkshake or fry/onion ring specials. My favorite nerdy conversation as we approached the front of the line:

Person #1: What color are you going to get?
Person #2: I don't know yet. Whatever color is more "gangsta".
Me: Hey guys, we're talking about the iPhone. Is the iPhone really "gangsta"?
Person #2's wife: Thank you!
Me and Person #2's wife: Hahaha!!
Rob: {whispering to me} I think you may have offended him.

We finally made it to the front of the line and we were all so excited!

Our iPhone friends
Anxiously awaiting the arrival of Tallulah
Me, Tallulah, Nathan, and his little guy

To make the afternoon even more over-the-top exciting, it's official, Legally Blonde is coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Sept. '09! I need to catch up on MTV's Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for the Next Elle Woods.

I'm in love with discovering the perks of Tallulah. My favorite part is the instant gratification of sending/receiving email!

My Denver update is coming soon...

Tallulah is such a good name for your iPhone!

As for the term "professional," I'm simply going by the definition provided by California law. ;)
